PHOTOS: new statue of the Hungarian freedom fighters in Atlanta, USA
On October 23rd the Hungarian American community dedicated a new ‘56 statue in Atlanta, at the Millennium Gate Museum Park.
Deputy Chief of Mission, Dr. Magor Ernyei payed tribute in his remarks to the Hungarian heroes of the Revolution at the event organized by the Hungarian American Coalition. A truly memorable moment was the unveiling of the “Hungarian Freedom Fighter” together with many ‘56-ers and their families. Our Embassy was pleased to provide an initial grant to the project, which was realized with donations from all across the U.S, the Embassy of Hungary in Washington DC wrote on their Facebook page.
